Andhra Pradesh Government is planning to distribute LED bulbs at a nominal price of Rs 10 each as against a market value of around Rs 400 through DSM based efficient Light Programme (DELP) on the eve of National Energy Conservation (NEC) week from December 14 to 20. Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today called upon the people of the State to take a pledge to conserve precious energy for the benefit of present and future generations. The Chief Minister, who made this appeal on the occasion of National Energy Conservation (NEC) Day said conservation of energy is essential in view of scarce natural resources like coal and natural gas. Besides, energy conservation helps to protect the environment from global warming. The Chief Minister along with Minister for MA&UD Mr P Narayana, Special Representative, Government of Andhra Pradesh in Delhi, Mr.Kambampati Rammohan Rao, Secretary, CMO Mr G Sai Prasad, Secretary, Energy and Investments & Infrastructure) Mr Ajay Jain, has released various kinds of posters highlighting the significance of Energy Conservation and Efficiency and impact of Government prestigious programme of providing LED bulbs at a nominal price.
